CCoFA suspends highway bandh
Source: The Sangai Express
Dimapur, October 19 2016:
The Co-ordination Committee on Fuel Adulteration (CCoFA) has suspended the indefinite highway bandh on the assurance given by Chief Minister TR Zeliang that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) will submit its "charges" within 7 days.
However, CCoFA said that in the event of discrepancies in the charge sheet, the Chief Minister assured that there will be an independent investigative body to probe the issue for which the Chief Secretary has already given a written confirmation.
With this, CCoFA warned that in the event of the Government reneging on its promise, there will be repercussions.
