Flaying the State Govt for its alleged inefficiency in solving the text book crisis, Movement for Tribal People's Rights, Manipur has demanded the resignation of Education Minister on moral ground.
Since the problem of text books scarcity is not a new one, the State Govt and its Education Dept in particular should have taken necessary steps in advance to over the problem, MTPRM general secretary AS Johnson stated in a release today.
MTPRM asserted that it is the inefficiency and negligence of the State Education Dept that has unnecessarily created problem to the students.
On the common syllabus issue, the MTRPM observed that it is against the 3-language formulated of the National Education Policy.
It is not a nationally approved quality syllabus but the handy work some individuals to earn profit out of its.
There, the common syllabus should nor be imposed in the hill district.
On the proposal for rationalisation of teachers, the release said MTRPM is totally against it as the policy has never been successful.
