New Delhi, February 05:
In what appears to be a long-drawn exercise, the Centre will hold yet another round of talks with major insurgent group NSCN (I-M) on Thursday as part of the ongoing peace process in Nagaland.
"The next round of talks will be held on Thurdsay with the new Central team consisting of a Group of Ministers to find a political solution to the Naga issue," informed sources said tonight.
The Group of Ministers set up by the Centre for talks with the top NSCN (I-M) leadership comprises Oscar Fernandes, Prithviraj Chavan and S Regupathy.
The Naga delegation will be led by NSCN (I-M) General Secretary Th Muivah.
Meanwhile, Centre's emissary for Naga peace process K Padmanabhaiah briefed Home Minister Shivraj Patil here this evening on the progress of the parleys with the NSCN (I-M) leadership.
The Naga delegation has also sought an appointment with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
The Naga insurgent outfit has been demanding unification of Naga dominated areas in Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, a move opposed by these states.
This demand had triggered unrest in Manipur three years back.
