In connection with gunning down of three Kuki students alleged to be staged-managed involving police commandos on October 25, Judge (Retd) C Upendra conducted a spot inquiry at KR Lane today.
Commission's counsel Gomti Devi, officials of Imphal East district police including the Investigating Officer and counsel of the victim's family accompanied Upendra.
Upendra, chairperson of the Judicial probe set to inquire circumstances leading to the killing besides examining the spot also recorded statements of some local residents.
On February 3, the Commission had examined one Lunkhosei Touthang who is the secretary of Kuki Students' Organisation and another student.
Touthang (35) testified that on the morning of October 26, he received information from local dailies that three Kuki students were slain by police commandos.
