URF clarifies, washes off hand

URF home secretary Ruhini Meitei has categorically stated that none of its cadres were involved in any of the criminal and unlawful activities that took place at Loitang Khunou and surrounding areas.
Speaking to media persons at their Loitang Khunou designated camp today, Ruhini while maintaining that they did not commit any anti-social activity since they moved to the designated camp about a year back, welcomed the collective stand of Meira Paibis against criminal activities.
He, however, admitted of their cadre was rounded up by people when he was trying to steal a battery.
After URF has signed a tripartite agreement with the Centre and the State Government, the outfit's attention is now on green revolution.
9th Dogra Regiment has been guarding the designated camp.
Moreover, cadres are given outpass if they should go outside and they cannot leave the camp after 4 pm, Ruhini said.
URF chairman Lanheiba Meitei who is currently stationed outside the State said through telephone that people's voice is god's voice and must be respected always.
