Lok Sabha polls: Dr Nara chosen as common candidate of 10 Pol parties

Secretary of Communist Party of India (CPI), Manipur State Dr Moirangthem Nara has been chosen as the common candidate for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency in the coming 16th Lok Sabha Election by 10 non-Congress and non-BJP political parties based in the State.
The 10 political parties which have endorsed Dr Nara as their common candidate are Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party (Marxist), All India Forward Bloc, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Janta Dal (United), Janta Dal (Secular), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Revolutionary Socialist Party, Shiv Sena and People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) .
Dr Nara's candidature was formally announced by the leaders of 10 non-Congress and non-BJP political parties at Irawat Bhavan here today.
However, the parties' common candidate for Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency was slated to be announced within two/three days.
Talking to media persons, Dr Nara thanked all political parties which are supporting him to face the Congress Party and BJP in the coming Lok Sabha Election.
His candidature for the Lok Sabha Election has also been approved by the Central Committee of CPI, he noted.
The veteran Communist leader further appealed to other remaining non-Congress and non-BJP political parties to render their support to him.
The Congress Party and BJP would not able to bring good governance in the country.
A third front Government at the Centre would be the people's ultimate desire, Dr Nara added.
The leaders of the non-Congress and non-BJP political parties maintained firm confidence of defeating the Congress and BJP candidates in the coming Lok Sabha Election.
