Mao Students' Union Senapati 3rd annual get together cum felicitation observed

Senapati, November 12 2017: L Dikho, Minister PHED, Printing and Stationery and N Kayisii, Minister Tribal Affairs and Hills, Fisheries, graced the 3rd Annual get together cum felicitation program organized by the Mao Students' Union Senapati at Taphou Pudunamei village under the theme "Revitalizing of our Unity" today.

Numerous people turned up to the annual get together cum felicitation from 12 villages from Mao Marafii to Daili village.

Speaking at the occasion Minister L Dikho stressed on empowering the people through entrepreneurship, business and education.

He said that it is important to preserve one's culture, tradition and have a broad mind with commitment and sincerity.

Minister N Kayisii encouraged unity with all the other communities.

Assuring the gathering that he will work with full dedication not only for the development and benefit of one tribe but for the common good of all the people of Manipur, he appealed to the public for co-operation, suggestions and advice for the betterment of the society.

The programme was attended by M Dili, president of Mao council, A Mayili president of Mao students union, Adahrii Maheo, SDO Purul, Dr Loli Mao CMO, DLOs, chairman, secretaries, leaders and students from 12 different villages in their colourful traditional attires .

15 individuals were felicitated as achievers in different fields.

The programme concluded with competitions like folk tunes, extempore speech, melodies turns from various Mao artists.

The get together cum felicitation is celebrated after every two years.
