Imphal, February 08, 2012:
Parents of Ningthoujam Adis (2), who had been mercilessly murdered on December 31 last year, have urged the authority concerned and general public to bring the murderers to justice.
Adis was the only son of Ningthoujam Shyamchandra and Ningthoujam Ongbi Anju of Laphupat Tera.
He was murdered and dumped in Manipur River after looting his gold chain and gold ear rings.
In a press conference held this afternoon, Shyamchandra and Anju lamented that no action has been taken up so far even though a complaint has been filed with the concerned police station in this regard.
No parents could bear such inaction of the Police Department for long after their only son was brutally murdered.
The couple also urged the JAC constituted against the killing, meira paibees, civil society bodies and general public to extend co-operation in tracing the perpetrators.
Adis was found missing from a thabal chongba venue in the morning of December 31 last year.
