Free eye check up camp held

Imphal, November 27 2021: A comprehensive free eye camp was held at Sagolband Tera Lukram Leirak today organized by National Institute of Technology, Manipur in association with Shija Eye Care Foundation, Langol, NPCB (NHM), Lukram Leirak Youth Club.

Shija Eye Care Foundation in a press release stated that the free eye camp has been organized under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), a flagship programme of MoE, Government of India sponsored by Ministry of Education.

In today's camp, 122 (one hundred and twenty two) patients were examined by doctors along with other supporting staff of Shija Eye Care Foundation for eye related problems and 21 cataracts, 6 pterygiums and one chalazion were diagnosed.

Those patients detected with eye related problems will be treated under NPCB (NHM)/CMHT/PMJAY Scheme, added the press release.
