Imphal, April 26 2017:
Taking serious note of the sudden escalation in the India-China conflict, the proscribed RPF has categorically stated that Western South East Asia (WESEA) should not be converted into a war zone between the two neighbouring countries.
A statement issued by RPF publicity secretary Roben Khuman remarked that India is now surrounded by allies of China.
China and Pakistan have unhindered road connectivity through Aksai Chin region and China has been assisting Nepal is all political matters.
China-Bhutan relationship has also grown considerably.
Compared to India, Myanmar shares closer ties with China.
Sri Lanka, India's southern neighbour is now literally in the hands of China.
The only neighbouring country which India can count as its ally is Bangladesh.
It also depends on the political parties which come to power.
It was after surrounding India by all its allies that China claimed that Arunachal Pradesh is South Tibet and it is a part of Chinese territory.
To accentuate their
claim, Beijing has been issuing stapled visas to people belonging to Arunachal Pradesh.
Even though it is said that China, India and Bangladesh have equal rights on the waters of Brahmaputra, the river's water current is being controlled by China.
On the other hand, India has been giving refuge to Tibet's Dalai Lama and 10,000 of his followers, and New Delhi has been instigating them to revolt against China.
Because of India giving sanctuary to the Tibetan refugees, India-China bilateral relation is not at all warm.
In addition to protecting the Tibetan refugees, India has been helping Tibetans in their internal issues.
This is one major factor for the India-China conflict.
Another primary factor for the conflict is China's claim over Arunachal Pradesh as SouthTibet.
Recently, after India allowed the Dalai Lam to visit Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh in spite of China's repeated warnings, China named six places of Arunachal Pradesh in their own language.
China has also warned India that things would not be desirable if India does not review its position over Arunachal Pradesh.
Driven by a conviction that it would have to fight a war with China one day, India invested Rs 15,000 crore in 2015 for construction of roads which can reach border areas of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
The project indudes a big bridge called Dhola-Sadiya Bridge which can be used for movement and transportation of heavy military vehicles and artillery.
India has also been investing Rs 4300 crore to train a separate military force well accustomed to the hilly terrain of Arunachal Pradesh.
With a view to enhance its military capacity along the Chinese border, India has stationed BRAHMOS supersonic missiles, UAVs and SU-30 combat jets in WESEA, Roben said.
In the name of checking movement of smugglers, military forces have been put on alert along Assam's border with Mizoram, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Indian fighter planes have test-landed at Manipur Bir Tikendrajit Airport.
Transportation of fuel to Imphal in military transport aircraft during the last spell of economic blockade was a military exercise.
This indicates that India has been preparing to turn WESEA into battle fields in case a war breaks out with China.
Earlier in 1962 when a brief war broke out between India and China, India abandoned the entire WESEA and fortified their defence at Calcutta so as to protect mainland India.
US intelligence agencies namely CIA and DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) reported that China would invade India through Burma via Ledo Road, Khunming-Dibrugarh road, Khunming-Tezpur Road, Mandalay and Imphal in case a war breaks out between the two countries.
India sees WESEA as a frontier and because of its hilly terrain, the region is very helpful to India's defensive strategy.
That is why India has been embracing the people of WESEA as their own people.
Such hypocrisy is detested by all Nations across the planet, the outfit alleged.
Categorically asserting that India should not try to convert WESEA into a war zone, it claimed that RPF and the people of Manipur can see inside out the alleged cheap politics of India and its military forces.
