Two NSCN cadres apprehended

Two Naga militants hailing from two different NSCN factions have been arrested by the personnel of Assam Rifles from the Nagaland commercial hub Dimapur.
A source from the Assam Rifles however did not mention when the Naga militants were arrested.
In the first case, a cadre of NSCN-Khole/Kitovi was arrested from Murgi Pati area in the heart of Dimapur along with one 7.65mm pistol, one magazine and six live rounds.
The Assam Rifles source did not mention the name of the cadre but said he is a self-tyle lieutenant of the NSCN-Khole/Kitovi who commands the Niuland area of Dimapur.
The cadre has been handed over to the Dimapur East police station along with the weapons.
In the second case, an NSCN-IM cadre identified as one Amok Ao of Longjang village, Mokokchung district was arrested by the personnel of 29th Assam Rifles while the militant was collecting illegal tax from the Golaghat Road.
The Assam Rifles source said Rs 90,800 and the tax collection slips were recovered from the NSCN-IM cadres.
Amok Ao has been handed over to the Dimapur East police station, according to the source.
