KAMA for completion of Rani Gaidinliu guest house

Imphal, March 14 2013:
While appreciating last term of the Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh led SPF government for sanctioning to construct Rani Gaidinliu Guest House at Longkao, Kabui Mothers' Association (KAMA) urged the state government to complete the construction of the Guest House in memory of the late freedom fighter at the earliest possible.
In a statement by its General Secretary Ranjita Golmei, KAMA also appreciated former Works Minister K Ranjit for his initiative and laying foundation stone of the memorial as well as for construction of a jeepable road leading to the tomb of Ranima at UpperLongkao village.
Rani Gaidinliu was the recipient of Tamrapatra Freedom Fighter Award-1972, Padma Bushan-1981, Vivekananda Seva Award-1983 and Birsamundra Award-1994 (posthumously) among other honours.
Moreover, a Naval vessel, 'Rani Gaidinliu' and a Guest House have been named after the freedom fighter.
