Imphal, April 08:
Over 100 Government employees who are close to Ministers, MLAs and other top officials have been allegedly excluded from the penalty of dies-non (no work, no pay) slapped by the Government of Manipur on 658 employees of the State Secretariat right from Mali to private secretary for their recent cease work strike agitation.
According to a reliable source, such discrimination has caused wide-spread resentment among the employees.
Interestingly, among the employees who have been given preferential treatment and excluded from the penalty of dies-non there are employees who are no more alive or have retired from service, the source disclosed.
