Imphal, March 06 2014 :
The Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has announced a public curfew at all schools run by the Catholic Society and Missionary Schools.
According to a statement issued by the Joint Secretary of MSF, Romeo Keisham, the public curfew will be enforced within the campuses until the School authority corrected its misdeed in selection of students for admission and tendered apology for the alleged unfair selection.
The MSF alleged that many students were admitted in the schools without undergoing the selection process, ie, draw of lot.
The MSF said that the schools should remain closed and students should stop attending classes during the curfew duration.
No parents should drop their children and van services should stop their services, it said.
Any untoward incident arising for violation of the curfew should not be the responsibility of the MSF, it added.
