In another fresh case of abducting children to forcibly join the underground, two children escaped from the abductors.
Irate over the incident, house of a person allegedly behind the abduction of the children was torched by a mob.
The two boys who were allegedly taken away forcibly were identified as Konsam Jupiter (13) son of K Binoy of Awang Khunou Awang Leikai and Khumukcham Sushilkumar (14) son of Nabachandra of Awang Khunou Makha Leikai.
They were taken away by one Khumukcham Roshan (17) of Awang Khunou Makha Leikai on the pretext of taking part in a football match to be played at Awang Khunou Gokulchand ground yesterday afternoon, at about 2 pm along with another 11-year boy, Khumukcham Rabi.
When they reached the play ground, a woman of age about 30 year range came on an Auto-rickshaw and hold talks with Roshan.
Later, she took away Jupiter and Sushilkumar reportedly luring them to buy mobile phones from a bazar and play them with video game, local reports said.
Believing to the promise, according to the boys, they went together with the woman on the auto-rickshaw where they were again shifted to a van on the way after driving some distance.
In the van two men and one woman were on board.
After leaving behind the auto-rickshaw, they left the place together.
They were taken to near a foothill where the two boys again shifted to a house of a tribal located in the uphill and allowed to stay there freely.
Later, one of the women who came together with them entered to the house and pays Rs 100 each, the boys said.
They were allowed to stay the night in the house where meal was served properly.
In the morning today, some persons with arms in their hands came to the house, they were staying and held talks with the four persons who came with them, the boys recalled.
Taking advantage of the four persons inside a room of the house to hold talks with the armed persons, they came out of the house convincing the house owner that they were going to buy eatables from a shop nearby.
When they reached the foothill, they find a path which they followed.
Incidentally, they came across an Imphal bound bus which signaled to stop and escaped from the unknown persons.
They reached their village when their families along with locals launched were searching for the two boys missing after then went out for play.
When they related the incident behind taking them to an unknown place by revealing the name of Roshan, a public meeting was immediately convened at Awang Khunou today afternoon.
At the concluding part of the meeting, at about 8 pm, people thronged the house of Roshan and torched the house.
Patsoi police who immediately rushed to the place rounded up Roshan.
They also picked up the two children for investigation into the incident.
