Imphal, December 01 2015:
Committee of Civil Societies, Kangleipak (CCSK) celebrated its first foundation day at Manipur Press Club today with a discussion session on the 'Pros and cons of the present Peace Talk Process between the Government of India and NSCN-IM' .
Speaking at the occasion CCSK president Arjun Telheiba said peace talks between the NSCN-IM and GoI have been going on for some 14 years now.
On August 3 this year a framework agreement was signed between the parties, the contents of which have not been released till date.
UCM, AMUCO and other civil organisations leaders in a meeting with the Centre's interlocutor for Naga peace talks RN Ravi in his recent visit to the State had submitted a six point memorandum.
The memorandum demanded Centre to provide the details of the framework agreement between GoI and NSCN-IM.

RN Ravi during his visit had said that the Manipuri Naga will be most impacted by the framework agreement as compared to those in Assam and Arunachal as the NSCN-IM leader Th Muivah hails from the State.
He had further stated that the Centre is aware of the tension prevailing in the State.
His comments reflect the attitude of the Government of India towards the North Eastern States of India, Arjun Telheiba said.
The question of territorial integrity of Manipur was never discussed when the leaders signed the infamous Naga Peace Agreement, Arjun alleged.
The Centre is attempting to weaken the bonds among different communities as a measure to suppress the fight for self determination.
Director of Public Prosecution, Manipur Ng Tejkumar and former Minister RV Mingthing also attended the celebration.
