The World AIDS Day was observed by 27 Assam Rifles at RK Sanatombi Devi Vidyalaya School, Jiribam today, reports our correspondent.
Pamphlets on HIV /AIDS were also distributed to the students.
Red Ribbons which symbolise fight against AIDS were also distributed among locals in and around Jiribam market to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS.
Power cut
Due to the ongoing construction of Naga Nulla, five distribution transformers along the Naga Nulla/Nagamapal have to be shifted.
As such, consumers around Nagamapal area will not get electricity for a few days with effect from Dec 2, a statement issued by the DGM, IED-II, MSPDCL informed.
BJYM urges Govt
Stating that the stretch of NH-102 between Manipur University and Lilong Ushoipokpi is an accident prone area, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Lilong Mandal has urged the Government to construct road median on this portion.
Many important offices, educational institutes and health centres are located between this stretch, said a statement.
