Imphal, March 07 2017:
As HSLC, HSSLC and CBSE exams 2017 are nearing, Democratic Students' Alliance Manipur (DESAM) has today warned invigilators against helping students cheat inside the examination hall.
Speaking to mediapersons at its office located at Sagolband Moirang Leirak, DESAM secretary general N Edison said, "Taking serious note of some reported news about some invigilators helping students in HSLC, HSSLC and CBSE exams in the past, we appeal to all the teachers and school authorities to ensure such malpractices are not followed inside the exam halls" .
He added, "It was learnt that since students of CBSE schools generally score high marks, they were given free hand during the exams.
Such act that would degrade the education system of that particular school should not be encouraged by both the school authority and teachers." He added a meeting will be held with the authorities of CBSE schools regarding the matter tomorrow at DESAM office.
"If any invigilator is caught helping students cheat, DESAM will take up befitting actions against the involved individual.
As the HSLC, HSSLC and CBSE exams are nearing, DESAM wishes the best to all the students," he further said.
