KRUM appeals on village boundaries

Komrem Union, Manipur (KRUM) on Monday appealed to the communities who are the neighbours of Komrem village to reciprocate the same towards the Komrem people in respect of their village boundaries.
In a joint press statement issued by KRUN President Lalkhomang Serto and General Secretary K Lerthang, Korem Union comprises of six tribes Kom; Aimol; Chiru; Koireng; Kharam and Purum saying that they are among the earliest settlers of Manipur.
The Komrem people inhabited in almost all the districts of Manipur through they are small community.
The statement said, they are peace loving people and always maintain good relation with their neighbours.
Kom peoples always respect other people and never attempt to encroach to their neighbours' land and till now no intention to make enmity with others and to expand their ancestral land.
They are quite satisfied lands which left by their ancestral.
The statement added.
The union further asserted that peaceful co-existence is the only way to the better future of every community.
