Imphal, May 04 2015 : A combined team of District Police Commando, Thoubal including Women Police and 22 Assam Rifles conducted search operations in the general area of Sekmaijin and arrested two active workers of PREPAK on May 2 .

In a statement issued by PRO Police Department, RK Tutusana, the apprehendee was identified as Mayanglambam Victoria alias Jambapati (43), wife of M Loken of Top Khongang Makhong, Imphal East District and Baspatimayum Lakhikumar Sharma alias Heithoiba alias Shajikngakpa Sharma of Dibong Khunou, Jiribam Imphal East District but presently staying at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai.

One Chinese hand grenade, one out pass slip issued by KK Nganba of KCP and other incriminating articles were seized from the possession of Victoria and one out pass slip issued by KK Nganba of KCP was seized from the possession of Lakhikumar.

Investigation revealed that, they are active cadres of KCP KK Nganba who is a signatory to suspension of operation with the Government.

However they were working for the PREPAK and they came to Sekmaijin for recruiting new cadres of PREPAK.

A case has been registered at Kakching Police Station and investigation is going on.

In another operation, a team of District Police Commando, Imphal West conducted frisking and checking at Singjamei Mayenglambam Leikai near NRL oil Pump and nabbed one active member of PLA on May 2 .

The apprehendee was identified as Laishram Tondon alias Ingoba (32), son late Shyamkishor of Moreh Heinoumakhong Ward No.7 .

Investigation revealed that he extorted huge money for fund of PLA.

A combined team of Bishupur District Police Commandos and a Column of 12 Bihar Regiment conducted frisking and checking at Utlou Chanura Bazar an arrested NSCN (K) on MAY 1 .

The apprehendee was identified as "Lance Corporal" NSCN (K), BS Jaika Anal (42), son of BS Angam Anal of Sugnu Tokpaching. A team of District Police Commando, Imphal West including women Police conducted frisking and checking at Kwakeithel Bazar near BB Photo Studio and nabbed KCP (Lanchenba) on Sunday.

The apprehendee was identified as Mutum Nanao alias Shakhenbi (28), wife of late Ngangom Naoba alias Khellen alias Lanchenba of Lamlai Napet Palli but presently stayed at Yurembam Awang leikai.

One Suzuki Access Scooter bearing registration No.MN 01 L/7356 and other incriminating articles were seized from her possession.

Investigation revealed that, she was assigned to deliver extortion letters to general public in different places in Imphal West area.

A case was registered at Imphal Police Station and investigation is going on.
