Chief Information Commissioner appointed

Imphal, May 04 2015 :
After a gap of two years, the government appointed Thounaojam Ibobi as the State Chief Information Commissioner on Monday.
He was sworn-in ceremony at the Raj Bhawan by Governor KK Paul.
The function attended by Chief Minister O Ibobi, Deputy CM Gaikhangam, Speaker Th Lokeshore, Deputy Speaker Preshaw Shimray, MP Dr T Meinya, council of ministers and other officials.
Later Th Ibobi told media persons that his appointment will bring an end to the inconveniences faced by the people as the Right to Information (RTI) Act 2005 will become fully functional again after a gap of two years.
