KCP-PWG leader, aide held at Delhi

A joint team of Manipur police and Special Cell, Delhi police, arrested wanted self styled chairman of Kangleipak Communist Party- People's War Group ( KCP-PWG), Lamyanba Khuman, along with his associate Hijbur Rahman from Nirankari Sarovar Bus Station, Burari, North Delhi last night.
According to a reliable source, Laishram Mangoljao alias Lamyanba Khuman alias LK alias Shamu alias Chingkheinganba alias Hirachandra alias Pibarel alias Jagdish Koirela s/o Mono of Awang Khunou Mayai Leikai and Hijbur Rahman alias Ithemcha Lokhon alias Boby s/o Md Babu of Sora Maning Leikai, will be brought back to Imphal from Delhi on March 5.The source narrated that on February 15, SP of Imphal West had announced a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh to any individual who provided information leading to the arrest of Lamyanba Khuman of KCP (PWG) in connection with different FIRs registered at Singjamei PS, Imphal PS and Lamphel PS.
Acting on a tip off that Lamyanba Khuman and some of his associates were presently staying at New Delhi, a team of Manipur police, led by Mayengbam Roni, Additional SP (Operations) Imphal East, rushed to Delhi after sharing information with Delhi police, to capture them.
The source continued that Laishram Mangoljao alias Lamyanba Khuman was arrested last night from Nirankari Sarovar Bus Station, Burari, North Delhi, by a joint team of Manipur police and Delhi Police Special Cell, Southwest Range, when he and his associate, Hijbur Rahman, came to their hideout.
Both individuals are allegedly involved in activities like lobbing hand grenades, planting of bombs, extortion, the source mentioned, adding that two mobile phones and other items were recovered from their possession.
It may be mentioned that non bailable warrants were issued against them by the Court concerned earlier, in connection with the cases registered against them at various police stations.
