Imphal, June 18 2013:
Rejecting police claim that Letginhao Haokip alias Abin alias Hegin alias Haopu, arrested recently, belongs to KNF (N) organisation as unfounded and misleading, the armed organisation branded the individual as an imposter.
A KNF (N) statement issued by its information and Publicity secretary Gogou Vaiphei contended that the outfit has neither any cadre by the name of Letginhao Haokip nor Army No.103 .
Not ruling out possibility of Letginhao being branded as KNF (N) cadre as part of the secret agenda of police commandos to get service alleviation or stage-managed to tarnish/malign image of the organisation, Gogou also reiterated that KNF (N) was not involved in the killing of Ebenezer Camp CO Seikhohao Kipgen, for which Letginhao was also accused.
Conceding that a hand grenade was indeed lobbed at the residence of IFC Minister Ngamthang Haokip as retribution for the Minister's defiance to the outfit's intimation on a particular issue, the secretary maintained that the said incident also has nothing to do with Letginhao Haokip.
Pointing out that in case Letginhao was a KNF (N) cadre he should have known the details of the outfit's leaders/commanders, Gogou insisted that Letginhao incorrectly mentioning Mimin as the second in-command of KNF (N) and Abi Vaiphei as the Finance secretary, and claiming both to be from Bongbalkholen village clearly testify that the arrested person was not a member of the organisation.
Gogou also asserted that the KNF (N) Central Committee considers the police claim as 'null and void' .
