Rifle, ammos recovered

Jiribam, June 18 2013:
A team of Tousem police station in Tamenglong district has reportedly recovered an INSAS rifle, 45 rounds and three magazines from Kulbung area of Tousem sub-division.
The weapon recovered by the police team led by Sub Inspector Shining Thumra, is said to be out of four taken away by 5th Bn Manipur Rifles personnel namely Jamkholal Lupho, who had recently decamped from the battalion's unit post located at a rail-line construction site.
Sources say that Jamkholal was a member of KNA who surrendered and joined the State force.
