Directorate of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry invites loan applications

The Directorate of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry has informed that the Prime Minister's Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhilyan stimulus package includes setting up of Rs 15,000 crore Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF) .
This ARIDF has been approved for incentivizing investment by individual entrepreneurs, private companies, Micro Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Farmers Producers Organisation (FPO) and Section 8 companies with the aim to establish dairy processing and value addition infrastructure, meat processing and value addition infrastructure and animal feed plant, said the Directorate in a statement today.
The AHIDF will be implemented by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry or Fisheries, Ani-mal Husbandry and Dairying, and the quantum of loan will be upto 90% .
10% will be beneficiary contribution for Micro and Small Units, 15% for Medium Enterprises and 25 for other categories of enterprises.
For this, the interest subvention will be 3% for all eligible entities.
However, the interest subvention will not be.
allowed for procurement of land, working capital, old machinery and vehicle for personal use.
The period for repayment of loan shall be 8 years inclusive of moratorium of 2 years on principal payment.
As Such, interested eligible entities (EE) shall submit a viable Detailed Project Report (DPR) seeking loan upto admissible limit along with self-contained proposal through Udyami Mitra Portal developed by Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).
The EEs may also approach Department of Vety & AH, Manipur for seeking technical assistance in preparing project report.
The EE may also consult the list of Handholding Agencies available in the Udyami Mitra Portal of SIDBI, if required.
The EEs are required to obtain necessary clearances, permit and licenses whatso-ever and wherever required for implementation of the intending project under the AHIDF.
For this, the Veterinary & AH Directorate, Sanjenthong, Imphal is ready for facilitating the necessary statuary clearance of the project if any.
