Myanmarese Nationals arrested again

The two Myanmar Nationals, who were earlier released by the Court on a bail of Rs 70 thousand each, were arrested by Chura-chandpur police yesterday night and taken into police remand till October 6 .
Six days after Chura-chandpur DC, Shyam Lal Poonia, directed the SDO/ SDC Churachandpur to submit a report regarding the issuance of residential and tribe certificates to the two Myanmar Nationals, who were earlier arrested from Tulihal International Airport foreigner checkpost by security staff on September 14 with fake residential certificates of Mizoram, Chura- chandpur police arrested the chief of Lamzang village, L Suankhogin from his residence on Oct 1 and put him in police remand till October 6, for allegedly verifying the two Myanmar Nationals as residents of Lamzang village, after a complaint was lodged by SDO Churachandpur on September 30 .
As a follow up action, Churachandpur police arrested the two Myanmar Nationals, Khulampang (21) s/o Nungzuhou of Dimzang village, Tedim, Myanmar and Chin Tawi Dim (22) d/o Thangza Suan of Taham village, Kalimeyo, Myanmar, yesterday night .
They were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Churachandpur today and taken into three days police remand till October 6 .
It may be mentioned that Churachandpur DC began taking up necessary actions on September 25, a day after The Sangai Express broke the story of how the two Myanmar Nationals were issued residential and tribe certificates .
The issuance of the tribe and residential certificates to the two individuals come at a time when the Government has upped the security arrangements along the border areas to stop the entry of illegal migrants from Myanmar, particularly after the Rohingya issue at Rakhine State .
The two Myanmar Nationals were arrested from Tulihal International Airport on September 14, while trying to board a flight to Pune via Kolkata with Mizoram IDs .
While the two individuals were in Singjamei police custody, their tribe and residential certificates were issued on September 16, two days after their arrest, by the Executive Magistrate, Churachandpur Sub Division after verification by Churachandpur SDO.
