Special Aadhaar enrolment drive

Imphal, October 04 2017:
The Home Department has initiated a Special Aadhaar enrolment drive in all the hill districts with effect from October 3 to cover the left over population .
According to a press note issued by Home Department, the schedule of visit to villages has been notified by the concerned Deputy Commissioners in consultation with local MLAs.
The State Government has already completed mandatory two rounds of visit to villages .
This is an extra round planned by the State Government to facilitate enrolment of remaining people.
This will be the last round of visit to villages, it said .
The State Government appeals to all the people to utilize this opportunity to get enrolled .
Aadhaar enrolment is necessary for getting any benefits under the Central and State Government schemes.
People who fail to get enrolled will be deprived of the benefit of availing any Government schemes.
There will not be anymore village visit after this final round and left out people have to approach the Permanent enrolment centres in the office of Deputy Commissioners at their own cost, the press note said.
