Expressing strong resentment at the failure of the State Government to convert into action assurances given to the adhoc employees All Manipur Adhoc Employees Association has submitted a reminder memo to the Chief Minister today to initiate necessary action at the earliest.
The representation also cautioned to the Government of the adhoc employees launching mass fast unto death if their demands are not conceded within November 15.Among others the adhoc employees employed in 22 departments are demanding regularization and extension of ser- vice which the State authorities agreed to address at the earliest during the August 6 meeting with eight executive members of the Association and top State Government officials, including the Chief Minister himself, iterated the representation.
The employees had embarked on a relay hunger strike from July 6 which was suspended following the State authorities� assurance to address the grievances, it added.
Even though as per the agreement the employees resumed service concerned departments did not pay salaries till date, rued the memorandum while also reminding the Government of the High Court ruling of allowing the adhoc employees to continue service in their respective departments.
