PLA celebrates 34th raising day

The 34th foundation day of the proscribed People's Liberation Army (PLA) was celebrated yesterday at the outfit's general headquarters, tactical command, strategic command as well as unit, department and station bases, said a statement issued by RPF's publicity secretary T Leisemba.
While hoisting of the party flag was the main highlight of the celebration, in areas covered by Bureau (1) Div 2,4,6,8 and 10, PLA's stars and balloons were released, informed Leisemba while describing the celebration under Bureau (2) Div 12,14,16,18 and 20 as simple and down-to-earth.
Moreover, traditional cultural events marked the celebration in areas falling under Bureau (3) Div 1,2,3 and 4, the secretary informed while adding that all these celebrations were held with active participation of the common people.

The RPF also conveyed gratitude to all concerned for making the celebration a huge success.
On the otherhand, 'Reflection Vol.
VII; Issue No 2' has been released in connection with the 34th raising day celebration of PLA, the armed wing of RPF.
Among others the journal, a yearly publication, deliberates on various issues currently relevant to the people of Manipur such as influx of migrant workers, illegal immigration, the ongoing liberation movement, international affairs, global socio-political development, impact of the Olympic Games as well as message by the RPF president Irengbam Chaoren.
