KSA pulls up frauds

Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has pulled up a few swindlers and a job agency who conned fourteen individuals on the false pretext of providing them jobs at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS).
Speaking to media persons today at its office, KSA secretary, Surchand Ningthoujam said that Safety Wood Intelligence of India Pvt Ltd, Imphal Branch issued a fake notification regarding recruitment of ward attendants at JNIMS.
The agency staff collected around Rs 7 lakh from fourteen individuals, all of them said to be employees of Japanese Hospital, with a promise to secure the jobs for them.
The agency forged the signature of the Medical Superintendent of JNIMS and issued an order for their appointment on Dec 15 .
When KSA took the matter to the MS of JNIMS on Dec 17, it came to light that the signature was forged.
Four staff of the Safety Wood Intelligence of India Pvt Ltd were summoned to the office of KSA today wherein they admitted their deceitful activities, Surchand said.
He said that the agency got the order format of JNIMS through the PS of JNIMS while the signature was forged by one Thounaojam Jugeshwor (70) of Top Khongnangkhong.
The money were collected by Branch Manager, SWII, Manipur Branch, Wangkhem Anand (26) of Waithou; Asst Br Manager Thokchom Rakesh (28) of Loitang Khunou and Thokchom Angousana (40) of Heirok Part-II Bazar.
It has also come to light that the staff of the agency were scheming things together with one M Ibomcha, secretary of Japanese Hospital, Khurai Khabeisoi Isilou, Surchand said.
Ibomcha also reportedly collected Rs 15,000 each from the fourteen individuals, the KSA secretary said while informing the individual also to report to the KSA.
The head office of Safety Wood Intelligence of India Pvt Ltd is located in Goa while the office of its Manipur Branch is located at 2nd Floor, SNK Building, New Checkon bazar.
Cautioning all concerned to apply for jobs only after verifying it, he also urged the job centres of the State not to resort to illicit and deceitful practices.
