In a controversy surrounding the occurrence and visibility of lunar eclipse in the state on June 26, Kangleipak Calendar Board today clarified that they stand behind their forecast of lunar eclipse visible in the state on June 25 that June 26 .
Vice-president of board of ACOMLUP, W Homendro, in a press conference, said that due to cloudiness on June 26, lunar eclipse was not visible in the state.
He further said they have consulted various books and experts regarding the occurrence of lunar eclipse.
Even NASA also reported that June 26 lunar eclipse will be visible in north east areas of India which include Manipur.
But on that day clouds covered the view of lunar eclipse in Manipur.
Taking part in the press conference, the Secretary of the Board, Chandramani said that we should have a scientific outlook.
The contention of Govindajee Temple Board that lunar eclipse was not visible as it did not occur is wrong, he added.
