One more die due to COVID-19

Even as the recovery rate slightly improved to 83.95 per cent, one more died of COVID-19 at Shija Hospital during the last 24 hours.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, a 69-year old man from Imphal West died at Shija Hospital taking the death toll to 198 .
During the last 24 hours, 187 COVID-19 positive people were discharged from CAPF (4), home isolation (91), RIMS (5), JNIMS (2), CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhbng (21), Lanva (2), CCC UNACCO (24), Sadbhavna (1), Ukhrul (1), RD Wing (5), Chandel (5), Bal Bhavan (9), Bishnupur (4), Jiribam (1), Lamding (3) and Tamenglong (9).In the meantime, 182 people including four personnel of CAPF were tested positive for the virus at RIMS, JNIMS, Imphal East, Imphal West, Maipakpi Hospital, Hillside Hospital, IRL, Shija Hospital, Raj Medicity, Escent Diagnostics, Jivan Hospital, Advance Hospital, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Kakching, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Churachandpur, Chandel, Pherzawl, Kangpokpi, Jiribam and Babina Diagnostics.
The civilians who have been tested positive belong to Imphal West (85), Imphal East (38), Thoubal (11), Bishnupur (7), Ukhrul (4), Tamenglong (20), Pherzawl (1), Kakching (1), Kangpokpi (1), Chura-chandpur (3), Chandel (2), Jiribam (4) and Senapati (1).None of them has any history of travelling outside the State.
The cumulative figure of COVID-19 positive cases is 20,558 (general population 17726, Central security personnel 2832).It includes 3101 active cases (general population 2851, Central security personnel 250) and 17259 discharged cases (general population 14681, Central security personnel 2578) .
