The Senapati District Student�s Association (SDSA) has decided to probe and initiate appropriate and exemplary actions against the erring staff of the medical department for failure to provide ambulance service to the victims of the disastrous road accident last Saturday.
In a complaint letter to Minister (education) Francis Ngajokpa, the student�s body has stated that there existed a breach of dereliction of duty on the part of health department of Senapati district and requested him to initiate immediate probing and awarding of exemplary action towards the erring staff.
The body also warned that it would be compelled to take up own course of action failing to comply with their request stating that the minister will be help responsible for it.
It may be mentioned that on that fateful day, the ambulance belonging to the family welfare department, Senapati was not made available to transport the victims for which reason some irate public even threaten to burnt the ambulance.
SDSA maintained that Saturday�s failure on the part of the health department to provide ambulance service to serious patients in the third of its kind and asked the minister to justify the exact purpose of keeping the ambulance in the district headquarters.
Meanwhile, SDSA has extended its profound gratitude to individuals and organization which had extended aid to victims of the Sep 4, bus accident.
