The blood samples of the two Assam Rifles personnel who had earlier failed to give their blood samples were handed over to the RIMS Forensic department today for DNA testing, said sources.
Sources said that the two AR personnel along with some army officers came to the RIMS Forensic Department this morning and handed over the blood samples.
The blood samples were later sealed and sent to Kolkata for testing today itself.
Mention may be made here that 31 personnel including two Majors of the 17 Assam Rifles had given their blood samples for DNA testing on August 31.The DAN test process followed an order issued by the ongoing Army Inquiry probing into the facts and circumstances leading to the death of 32 year old Manorama after she was picked up by 17 AR personnel from her residence at Bamon Kampu on the intervening night of July 10 and 11.Meanwhile cross examination of one of the Major of 17 AR continued today in camera before the ongoing Thangjam Manorama Death Inquiry Commission at the premises of Imphal Central jail.
