Hunter found dead with head injuries

Imphal, December 08 2014:
A non local man who went out for hunting in a forest located along Indo-Myanmar border was found dead a day after he left for hunting.
The deceased bore injury marks on his head suspected to have been inflicted by a sharp weapon.
The man was found dead in the forest of Namillee under Kasom police station, some 50 Kms to the Southeast of the police station.
According to late information received from a reliable source, the non local has been identified as Md Manurun (45) from West Bengal but staying at Namillee village, Ukhrul after marrying a local woman since many years back.
Manurun went out for hunting with a single barrel gun and a knife at around 4 am of December 4.As Manurun failed to come back from the hunting trip, family members went out in search of him the next day.
The search party found Manurun dead at around 10 am just about a kilometre away from the Indo-Myanmar Border Pillar Number 9 with a head injury suspected to have been inflicted by a sharp weapon.
The single barrel gun and the knife were found missing.
Police retrieved the body and it was later handed over to family members after post mortem at PHC Kasom.
