Imphal, October 08:
Even as five days passed since the kidnapping of Master Mangkhuollien (3), s/o Goulienlal from Chengkonpang here by armed unknown persons, nothing is heard from the kidnappers since last Tuesday and the parents are on the verge of emotional breakdown, sources said.
In an appeal issued to the Press late today, the parents of the kidnapped child, Goulienlal and wife said that they have been without food and sleep since the incident and urged the kidnappers to at least tell them the condition of their only child.
They also stressed that nothing is too precious for them for their child and said that they hold absolutely no grudges against the kidnappers.
They dare not think of spending their days without their only child, they pleaded.
The parents also added that they are ready to accept any kind of communication from those who keep their child and are waiting for the same.
In the meanwhile, the Zomi Human Rights Foundation (ZHRF) yesterday issued a release condemning the kidnapping of an innocent minor child for ransom.
Saying that the act is against all norms of civilized behavior and human rights, the rights body urged the kidnappers to release the child at the earliest on humanitarian grounds.
Four major philanthropic organizations in the district had already appeal for the release of the child.
