Imphal, May 06:
Manipur Human Rights Commission has informed the Secretary, Board of Secondary Education Manipur to submit his comments on the alleged denial of appointment of examiners of HSLC examination this year.
The rights panel made its proceedings yesterday following a complaint case filed by six persons.
They said they have been working under BSEM as examiners cum co-ordinators1 since the past ten years.
In 2004 they agitated demanding hike in their remuneration for evaluating the answer scripts, they said.
The stir was however brought to an end when the authorities of BSEM agreed to raise the remuneration by 50 paise per paper.
"We the main leaders who led the agitation for a justified cause were denied appointment this year (2005) by the authorities concerned for agitating against them" they added.
Having perused the complaint, the commission also requested the school education Commissioner to give his comments on the matter by May 19, 2005.
