Imphal, May 06:
Carrying on the verbal diatribes amongst the factions of the KCP, the KK Mangang group of the outfit today said that there is no such thing as MK Mangang in the outfit or any Mobile Task Force as such.
In fact MK Mangang is Th Nando alias Nanao of Khangabok who is an accused in the Lungnila Elizabeth murder case.
He along with his gangsters have been misusing the name of the party and would be given appropriate punishment in due course of time, KK Mangang said in a statement while appealing to the parents of all those who are working with MK Mangang to dissuade them.
KCP also appealed to all the organisations and NGOs concerned in the State to restrain from calling frequent bandhs or blockades in pursuance of their demands.
Even if any organisation has a genuine demand, they should take up the matter to the authorities concerned without resorting to calling bandh and blockade so that the people of the State, majority of whom are poor do not suffered, president of the outfit KK Mangang said in a statement.
Taking serious note of bandh called by some group of people recently in connection with ongoing agitation being launched by MEELAL for implementation of Meetei Mayek, he clarified that the bandh was called without the knowledge of the outfit.
KCP genuinely support the cause of the Meetei Mayek as native language, script and culture of the people are trademarks of a free nation, he said, adding however, KCP would not like to create any sort of difficulties to the people in the name of the cause.
With regard to ban imposed on selling of Zarda and Mitha betel leaves as well as strictures issued to the private banks, he asserted that the outfit does have any monetary interest by doing so.
Rather, he said, Kenedy from Pungdongbam was shot on his leg for having taken Rs 1 lakh in the name of the party.
