109 Battalion CRPF, Mongsangei in collaboration with Tekcham Ibosana Singh and Tekcham Jayanta Singh Memorial Trust organised a free medical camp at Top Siphai Mayai today.
CRPF DIGP MS Raghava graced as chief guest in the camp organised under the supervision of 109 Battalion Commandant Rajesh Dhakarwal.
Apart from doctors of 109 Battalion CRPF, twelve doctors from RIMS Hospital and two doctors from JN Hospital examined around 3400 villagers of Top Siphai and adjoining areas during the camp.
Speaking at the occasion, DIGP MS Raghava assured the villagers to provide more civic action programmes from the side of CRPF.
He also lauded the villagers for making the camp successful with their overwhelming response.
Later speaking to reporters, 109 Battalion Commandant Rajesh Dhakarwal said that the camp was organised as a part of the ongoing civic action programmes being taken up by the Central paramilitary force in various parts of the State.
He said that his Battalion is planning to distribute computer sets, sewing machines and other electronic equipment to various social bodies and individuals.
Dhakarwal further said that in view of the drinking water scarcity being faced in the State due to shortfall of rain, his Battalion is providing drinking water to the locals of Mongsangei area from time to time.
