For third time in April, no positive case reported

Imphal, April 29 2022:
Not a single case of fresh Covid-19 infection was detected in the State during the last 24 hours even though 163 samples were tested for the virus.
This is the third time in the month of April that no cases were detected in the last 24 hours, the first two instances coming on April 26 (reported on 27) and April 22 .
There was neither any report of discharge of Covid-19 positive people nor any Covid related death during the last 24 hours which implies that the death toll remains static at 2120 .
The cumulative number of positive cases in the State is now 1,37,220 (general population 1,32,206 and Central security personnel 5014) .
This figure includes 17 active cases from general population and 1,35,083 recovered cases (general population 1,30,076 and Central security personnel 5007) .
The recovery rate too remains unchanged at 98.44 per cent.
A total of 112 D-type oxygen cylinders and eight B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
There are 300 Covid beds at JNIMS and another 190 at RIMS.
All of them are vacant at present.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,41,156 (first dose 15,55,927, second dose 12,03,528 and precautionary dose 81,701) .
It includes 2393 doses jabbed yesterday.
Till April 28, 51.30 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine while 61.67 per cent has been given the first dose.
