Death toll touches 1846 with 3 more, 210 test positive

Imphal, September 26 2021:
With the death of three more persons from Imphal West, Imphal East and Ukhrul, the State's Covid-19 death toll has touched 1846 .
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, none of the three victims had been vaccinated and one had co-morbidity.
Today's positivity rate is 7.1 per cent as 210 people including five CAPF personnel have been confirmed positive out of 2970 samples tested for Covid-19 .
The positive cases were detected at RIMS (11), JNIMS (7) and other testing centres (192) .
The 205 civilians who have been tested positive belong to Imphal East (41), Imphal West (104), Thoubal (7), Bishnupur (15), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (6), Churachandpur (9), Chandel (4), Senapati (1), Tengnoupal (2) and Kamjong (15) .
For the second consecutive day, Kamjong recorded the highest positivity rate at 28.8 per cent followed by Imphal West with 9.1 per cent, Bishnupur 8.7 per cent and Imphal East 8.5 per cent.
On the other hand, 136 COVID-19 positive persons, following recovery, were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (38), RIMS (3), JNIMS (5), CCCs (116) and CHICs (4) .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,19,884 (general population 1,15,609 and Central security personnel 4,275) .
It includes 2,125 active cases (general population 2,069 and Central security personnel 56) and 1,15,913 recovered cases (general population 1,11,699 and Central security personnel 4,214).The recovery rate is 96.69 per cent.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 827 D-type oxygen cylinders and 368 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of the State.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 16,70,226 (1st dose 12,19,435 and 2nd dose 4,50,791) .
This includes 9395 doses administered on September 25.As enumerated by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, COVID-19 beds available at different health care centres are RIMS (general beds 193; ICU/HDU beds 24), JNIMS (general beds 42; ICU/HDU beds nil), CMC (general beds 30; ICU/HDU beds 8), Iboyaima Hospital (general beds 25; ICU/HDU beds 5), Jivan Hospital (general beds 20; ICU/HDU beds 5), Shija Hospital (general beds 48; ICU/HDU beds 40) and Raj Medicity (general beds 82; ICU/HDU beds 22) .
