Active cases fall below 200

Imphal, January 25 2021:
Even though 11 fresh cases of COVID-19 were detected during the last 24 hours, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in the State has dropped below 200 .
Whereas the cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,442 (general population 25,032 and Central security personnel 3,410), the total number of active cases has dropped to 186 (general population 177 and Central security personnel 9) .
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, 11 persons were found infected by the virus at JNIMS, RIMS, Imphal East, Escent Diagnostics, Raj Medicity and Tamenglong.
They are residents of Imphal West (2), Imphal East (5), Kakching (1), Chandel (1) and Tamenglong (2) .
On the other hand, 26 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from CAPF (2), home isolation (20), RIMS (1), Shija Hospital (1) and CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (2) .
Although the death toll remains unchanged at 369 as there was no report of COVID-19 related death during the last 24 hours, the cumulative number of positive cases has reached 28,997 (general population 25,574 and Central security personnel 3,423) .
The recovery rate stands at
98.08 per cent.
