Imphal, January 25 2021:
Works Minister Thongam Biswajit has asserted that BJP would remain in power if people vote after taking into account the development works taken up and accomplished by different political parties when they were/are in power.
BJP is a principle-based party and it does not indulge in empty promises and this is testified by the many development works being implemented by the BJP-led Government, Biswajit said.
He was speaking at the inaugural function of a newly constructed community hall at Khongman Zone-V today.
Blaming Congress party for leaving the country in a mess, Biswajit claimed that numerous development works are being taken up one after another across the country including Manipur and the North East since BJP came to power.

In Manipur too, Imphal-Moreh highway and Imphal-Jiribam highway have been developed in an unprecedented manner.
Apart from constructing several foot bridges, traffic islands of Imphal city have been modified and re-constructed to cope with the increasing traffic volume, said the Works Minister.
To do away with the chronic issue of shortage or unavailability of potable water in different parts of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi set up the Jal Shakti Ministry and water supply schemes are being taken up under this Ministry with an ambitious target to ensure potable to each and every household, he said.
Construction of water supply schemes has started in several Assembly segments of Manipur including Thongju AC and their total estimated cost is around Rs 3054 crore.
Potable water would be available to each and every household of Thongju AC soon.
He asserted that he would invest all efforts to develop Thongju AC as a model Assembly segment by focusing on economy and education sector.
Construction of roads within Thongju AC including expansion of Khongman road would be kicked off soon, he added.
