State reports one death, 263 positive cases

Imphal, September 09 2021:
COVID-19 claimed one more life while 263 people including 10 CAPF personnel were tested positive during the last 24 hours.
Following the death of the individual from Thoubal district, the death toll has touched 1806 .
On the other hand, the fresh positive cases were detected at RIMS (12), JNIMS (21) and other testing centres (230) .
The civilians who have been tested positive belong to Imphal East (59), Imphal West (94), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (15), Kakching (4), Ukhrul (14), Churachandpur (14), Chandel (5), Senapati (5), Tamenglong (14), Tengnoupal (2), Noney (5), Kamjong (1) and Kangpokpi (17) .
Following recovery, 208 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (102), RIMS (4), JNIMS (15), CCCs (62) and CHICs (25).The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,16,397 (general population 1,12,230 and Central security personnel 4,167) .

This figure includes 3,218 active cases (general population 3,164 and Central security personnel 54) and 1,11,373 recovered cases (general population 1,07,265 and Central security personnel 4,108) .
The recovery rate as on Thursday is 95.68 per cent.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 15,81,614 (1st dose 11,98,061 and 2nd dose 3,83,553) and it is inclusive of 5663 doses administered on September 8 .
With 263 confirmed positive out of 3,682 samples tested during the last 24 hours, the positivity rate stands at 7.1 per cent, as per an official report.
