The Churachandpur JAC constituted against the three Bills passed by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 31 for protection of indigenous people of Manipur would hold a meeting with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Internal Security Secretary tomorrow.
MHA Internal Security Secretary Ashok Prasad deputed by the Ministry to take stock of the State's prevailing situation arrived here today and held a meeting with top officials of the State Government.
Ashok Prasad would go to Churachandpur and meet representatives of the JAC tomorrow morning, informed an official source.

Soon after his arrival at Imphal, Ashok Prasad collected a detailed report from Chief Minister O Ibobi and other top officials of the State Government on the prevailing situation.
The MHA Internal Security Secretary also met the DGP and other high ranking police officers.
Notably, the State Government has invited the JAC twice for a dialogue on the existing impasse but there was no response from the JAC.
Our CCpur correspondent reports : Expecting a visit from Central officials, the JAC Churachandpur Camp has this evening announced the itinerary of the visiting team and called on the public to gather at Lamka public ground for a public meeting even as it announced another total shutdown from 5 am to 3 pm tomorrow.
Claiming that their call for a total shutdown was aimed at giving the Central team from Delhi a free and easy access during their visit, the JAC also called on the public to avoid all forms of violence and disturbances during their visit.
Tribal chiefs and villagers from Kangvai and its vicinity were told to receive the visiting team at Kangvai while womenfolk from Kangvai to Lighthouse have been advised to stay put at their dharna points till 3 pm.
Others are set to gather at Lamka Public Ground where the Central team is expected to address the public.
Thereafter the team will visit the morgue where the bodies of nine martyrs are still kept and hold talks with the JAC.
They are also expected to address the press after the talks at KKL Complex.
