Imphal, November 29 2023: Chandel Police FC, Chandonpokpi CYFC registered contrasting wins in today's matches of the ongoing DC Chandel Trophy Second Division Football Tournament organised by the District Sports Association Chandel in two venues.

In a Pool A fixture at Liwa Sarei village ground, Chandel Police FC drubbed PUSA FC 4-0 for the second straight victory as Mitchel hit twice including the opener and the penultimate goals (12', 74') .

Waikhabam scored the team's second in the 39th minute to make it 2-0 before the break for Chandel Police FC before Lovejoy scored the team's third in the 71st minute.

In another Group A match staged earlier, Riindamkhuin SC notched up an 8-2 win over Soldong FC as Tlingsheng netted thrice (11', 29', 41'), and Japhet (22', 67') and Wangnong (27', 35') added two goals each.

Kohon hit the finisher in the 72nd minute.

For Soldong FC, Angningam (40') and Koshel (68') were on target.

In a Pool D match staged at District Sports Complex Chandel Christian, DB Angpol scored a goal each side of the break (33', 66') to earn Angkhel Chayang YC a 2-1 win over Chandel Christian YC.

Wng Rucho scored the consolation goal for the losing team in the 80th minute.

In a similar Group D clash staged later, Thousel (26') and Thonum (82') scored to hand Chandonpokpi YC a 2-1 win over Penaching YDC whose Ng Kenish found a goal in the 62nd minute.

In a Group B fixture, Monsang Pantha YCC pulled off a 3-2 win over Charangching Khunou YC thanks to a double from Henry (39', 74').John (49') also scored for the winning team as Mishad (12') and Rishangam (53') scored for Charangching Khunou YC.

In a Group C match, Chakpikarong YC thumped Khoriibung FC 2-0 for the second straight victory as Lh Tangkhel scored the opener in the 24th minute before K Willson of Khoriibung FC conceded an own goal in the 69th minute.
