U-23 men's cricket: ESU, TCMDC script wins

ESU, Wangkhei and TCMDC, Thongju II registered easy wins in league matches of the 1st MNCA Men's U-23 Haobam Biramangol Singh Memorial Tournament 2023-24 on Monday.
ESU crushed TRAU, Kwakeithel by 86 runs at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal as Sagolshem Ronal Meitei (92 runs) guided the team to 160 in the 35-over game.
The TRAU run chase ended at 74 in 27.2 overs following fiery spells by ESU bowlers including Hanjabam Donba Sharma (4), Simesh Thokchom (3), Oinam Motilal Singh (2), and Bishom-cha Khundrakpam (1) .
On the other hand, Kongbrailatpam Kalyan Sharma dazzled with both bat (64 runs) and ball (5 wickets) as TCMDC humbled PCC, Mayai Koibi by 193 runs at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III Cherapur.
TCMDC scored 242 in 39.1 overs with vital contributions from K Kalyan Sharma and Ringku Kangujam (53) .
For PCC, L Chingheihunba Meitei and Ajay Mh Kumar with three wickets each were the leading wicket takers.
TCMDC bowlers led by K Kalyan, N Arbin Singh (3) and Nepram Richer Singh (2) then bundled out PCC for just 49 runs in 19.4 overs as seven of their batters failed to open their account.
