XII Zadonang Memorial Football : Tichuilung Panmei score four goals to power KMTYC to 7-0 win over UNYC

Imphal, November 13 2018: Tichuilung Panmei struck four goals and Panmei Gideon scored three goals to power the KMTYC Konthoujam Maning to a 7-0 win over UNYC Uchiwa while PYC Pantilong edged past AYC Araing 2-1, GUFA Gaipuinam had a narrow 2-1 win over KYC Keikhu and CYDA Chingkhulong blanked SSYC Sairem 2-0 of the ongoing Xllth Zadonang Memorial Football Tournament organised by Zeliangrong Football Association at THAU Sports Complex here today.

In the first match that was played between AYC Araing and PYC Pantilong, Gaingamguang Kamei booked an early goal for PYC Pantilong in the 4th minute into the game and held on to the lead till the last minute minute of the first half before Paramngamang Abonmai of AYC Araing equalised the lead in the 35 th minute to level the score at 1-1 at the end of the first half.

After the switch over, both the team managed to thwart all the attempts that came their way, but PYC Pantilong proved more tough and able to break the defence of AYC Araing in the 57th minute through Dandmei Jeanpu to hand his team 2-1 victory at the end of the regulation time.

The second match also saw an evenly contested match between GUFA Gaipuinam and KYC Keikhu where both the team failed to take any lead till the end of the half-time.

However, GUFA Gaipuinam made amends in their approach in the second half that and was paid off in the 44th minute through Thanchuilin Golmei to take a 1-0 lead which has been doubled in the 70th minute by Crispin Kamson to take the lead to 2-0 for GUFA Gaipuinam.

However, KYC Keikhu managed to reduce the margin to 1-2 through Thainilung Rongmei in the 70+2 minute.

Nevertheless, GUFA Gaipuinam wrapped the match with 2-1 goals margin.

In the third march of the day, KMTYC Konthoujam Maning registered a comprehensive 7-0 win over UNYC Uchiwa riding on four goals from Tichuilung Panmei (7', 23', 42', 43') and three goals from Panmei Gideon (1', 22', 59') that was played in the evening session.

In the last match of the day, CYDA Chingkhulong blanked SSYC Sairem 2-0.Both the goals were scored by Joshiah Panmei in the 14th and 64th minute.

Morning: Kekru Villa (KVYC) vs Longmai FC (LFC) at 7 am; Chingmeirong (CRYC) vs Guigailong (GYC) at 8.30 am.

Evening: Longjang (LYC) vs Ramji (RYC) at 1 pm and Dimdaijang (DYC) vs Ramgailong (RYC) at 2.30 pm .
