Imphal, July 23 2009: Two State body builders have been selected to participate in the 43rd Senior Asia Body Building Championship which is to be held in Aurangabad from July 24 to 27 next.

The selected body builders are Nepram Kishan who won the Mr Asia (junior) title in 65 kg category in the year 2007 and Maibam Shaolin who will participate in 75 kg category.

Indian Body Building and Fitness Federation and Maharashtra Body Building and Fitness Association will jointly host the championship.

Shaolin will leave Imphal on July 23 next to participate in the championship.

On the other hand Junior Mister Asia, Nepram Kishan who is in Taiwan for the World Games will arrive at the venue to participate the championship.

It may also be mentioned that state body builder, Borun Yumnam who is serving in the CRPF will also be participating in the championship.

Maibam Shaolin in a press meet held at the office of Manipur Body Building and Fitness Association, said that he has firm belief that he will be able to win a medal in the championship.

It is his first time to participate in the international arena.

He is targeting to become the Mister Universe.

He is carrying on hard practice to fulfill his aim.

He started his career in the year 1999.He further stated that body building is a very expensive sports event.

However, this sports help one to live fit and healthy.

He spends an average sum of Rs 20,000 to 30,000.Although it is very expensive to pursue in this sport, he will strive further to achieve his goal, he said.

Vice Chancellor, Manipur University, Amuba, Assistant Director, Department of Sports, Dr T Inaobi and Registrar, Professor Lokendro donated an amount of Rs 9500 to him to meet his exenditure for the participation in the championship.

Besides, MLA O Joy also assured him for finalcial assistance.

He had assisted him in past.

He gave the credit of his striving career to the coaches and officials of Manipur Body Building and Fitness Association.Maibam Shaolin the 27 year old state body builder who is son of Maibam Surendro and Maibam ongbi Shusila is a resident of Lilong Chajing.

He had won many titles in state and national championships.

Junior Mister Asia Nepram Kishan will compete in 65 kg category in the championship.

He is serving in the 5th Batallion of Manipur Rifles.Kishan the 30 years old body builder, son of Nepram Kullachandra and Nepram ongbi Mema is a resident of Kyamgei Awang Leikai.

He had clinched the first position in the Mister Asia Championship 2007 held in Shanghai, China.

He had also won third position in 65 kg category in the Senior Mister India 2008 which was held in Aurangabad.

He had also won many medals in many state and national championships.
