Cyclone, AKSDO ease to wins in MNCA U-19 One Day Trophy

Cyclone, Thangmeiband and AKSDO, Khangabok enjoyed easy wins in Tuesday's fixtures of the MNCA Men's U-19 One Day Trophy.
Cyclone thrashed NCA, Ningthoukhong by seven wickets in their Group A encounter at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
The Thangmeiband side opted to field and bundled out NCA in 16.5 overs for a paltry 68 as'N Sidarth (40) was the lone bright spot in their innings.
Thomsan Moirangthem and Ronak Chaudhary ripped apart the NCA batting lineup, sharing seven wickets between them.
Thomsan shone with four scalps while Ronak finished with a three-wicket haul.
Donny, on the other hand, took two wickets and Suraj Meisnam bagged one.
After their dominant bowling performance, Cyclone needed 17 overs to overhaul the target for the loss of two wickets.
Thomsan (25 not out) and Aditya Prasad (17 not out) guided their side to a seven-wicket win after openers Aditya Das (5) and Aribam Ronald Sharma (18) got dis missed.
Aditya was caught off Shinoj Khwairakpam's bowling while Ronald was trapped lbw by Ganguly Laishram.
Thomsan Moirangthem earned the player of the match accolade for his four wickets and unbeaten 25.AKSDO, meanwhile, outclassed YUCC, Kwakeithel by five wickets in their Group D meeting at Oriental College.
Put in to bat, YUCC could only muster 88 after being bowled in 20 overs.
It was AKSDO's collective bowling effort that made short work of their opponents as Akash Laishram, Sanayai Ningthoujam and Saikhom Lanchenba picked up two wickets apiece, with Rosan Laishram and Saikhom Kaiku accounting for one each.
AKSDO then wrapped up their run chase in 17.4 overs with contributions from Winchelly Laishram (27 not out), Bishorjit Mangang (24), Maxi Ningthoujam (10), Sanathoi Ningthoujam (9 not out), Saikhom Kaiku (s) and Laishram Samson (2).In the process, they lost two wickets to Piinshiba and one each to Rohit and Jamesbond.
Akash Laishram was adjudged the player of the match.
